CTS

The CTS was originally designed to measure collagen thickness for tissue engineering applications. The CTS works by looking for differences in refractive index, from this it can then determine the thickness. A key function of the CTS is that it can measure the thickness of collagen even when it is suspended in saline. Though the CTS was designed for measuring collagen thickness it can be used in any application where the thickness of a transmissive material needs to be known, for example contact lenses or optics.
